I am a Ph.D. candidate in Organization Theory and Strategy at the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

My research examines how audiences form judgments of worth in markets, with a focus on how their values, such as inclusivity and artistry, become salient as evaluative criteria and shape outcomes for firms. My work combines large-scale archival data with computational text analysis, experiments, and computer vision.

Before beginning my doctoral studies, I earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in Comparative Literature and Culture from Yonsei University. My background in literature and law continues to shape my interest in meaning, value, and popular culture.

I grew up in Pasadena and Arcadia, California, and later lived in Seoul, Korea.

I am on the academic job market for the 2026–2027 cycle.
